FUN ART TIPS AND MORE FOR ART LOVERS

Our art prints are printed on the finest professional archival paper. When you frame you art, be sure not to have your print in direct sunlight. Keep water away from your print too, that includes humidity. I would not hang my favorite art print or painting in my bathroom, or in my kitchen near any steam.

HAVE HAMMER AND NAIL - NOW WHAT?

If you're like me, hanging up a piece of art on the wall is a BIG deal. Where does it go? Should I have it in a group or by itself. Does it look cluttered or does it make a statement? The best way for me is to sketch it out and think about it for a day BEFORE I hammer holes or use the various hanging devices out there.

The old hammer and nail is a winning combo, however, take a stroll in a your local hardware store and discover new updated ways to hang art on your walls that are more secure and kinder to your walls. I personally love the Hercules Hook for a quick fix. Twist, push and turn! No hammer needed-if it's going into drywall. It holds up to 150 lbs too! And it leaves a discreet hole in the wall, not a gapping hole into another world. :)

Mix it up when you are hanging your new art on the wall. Use grouping or an asymmetrical, or uneven format to add pizzazz to your home walls. Be sure to keep your beautiful candles from your art too! Don't laugh, I visited an artists friend's home and she was busy fixing one of her paintings that a client mistakenly put near a candle-oops! We want to keep fires in the fireplace.

We are currently donating the proceeds from our “Art for Haiti” art prints to UNICEF to help Haiti after the devastating earthquake. We have four listings on our www.DebrosseHardesty.etsy.com site and one on our www.DebrosseHardesty.com site.

Debrosse Hardesty Gallery was one of the featured Etsy Sellers in Manhattan Users Guide! We loved being part of such a great publication.

We love hearing what our customers do with their packaging after they receive their new purchase. What does a person do with packaging? Here are some unique uses:

• Shred the envelope and add to garden compost

• Re use the clear plastic bag to sort incoming mail

• Use cardboard backing behind art print once it’s framed

• Fill junk mail into envelope then toss it all into recycling

• Use clear plastic bag to organize and hold extra pens and paper clips in office drawer

~Thanks for taking care of our environment by recycling, repurposing and re using!

Debrosse Hardesty Gallery is proud to use environmentally

friendly packaging when possible. All packaging is clean and ready

to be re-used, re-purposed or recycled. Thank you for helping us

make the world a greener place.

March and all the Rain

It's easy to look at all the rain and grumble. For me, a Miami girl, I see rain as a friend dragging along her buddies, flowers, birds and more. I am so happy that Spring is aroung the corner. This has been a long winter here in Georgia and many other places.

Let's remember to welcome all the change that Spring brings.
