We are so excited about May 15th! Bill Hardesty and I, Isabelle Debrosse Hardesty, will be helping with the beautification of a local school recently hit with disaster.
On September 21,2009, Clarkdale Elementary was flooded up to the roof. The school was no longer fit for students or staff. Books, computers, supplies and more were completely ruined. Fortunately all students and staff made it out safely that afternoon. History making rainfall swelled nearby Sweetwater Creek and waters inched up steadily all morning and crested to about 9 feet by evening.
The students had to be divided between two different local schools. The K-2 students are at Compton Elementary and on May 15th we are excited to volunteer our time to create three murals on the schools walls. It has been quite an adjustment for students and staff. We are glad we are able to help. Everybody can make a difference.

Spiritual Connection
Art and beauty are entwined. Painting something that is beautiful is a beginning point for many newcomers, but painting something with meaning is truly rewarding. The meaning is a secret treasure, first to be discovered by the artist. Creating art is a spiritual connection. To have your spirit alive and lead you as you create is a divine connection.
